Today I am thankful for the little things.
Breakfast went off without a hitch this morning-no fighting, no spilling, no tears. That's no small feat with four little ones at the table together.
After the kids were off to school, Alayna and I went grocery shopping. Sure, she got in and out of the cart 1.8 million times, but she's happy to be my little helper and I enjoyed my time with just her.
For lunch, Jason, Alayna and I went to school to have lunch with the kids. They eat lunch at different times and it was a real treat for them to have family there to have lunch with.
Tonight will be the first time all week that the six of us will be sitting down to dinner all together. We've had a crazy week, with Halloween, my date with Owen, and basketball practice. Having dinner together is very important to me. We talk about our days, both the good and the bad, make jokes, and enjoy each other's company.
Today is just an ordinary day in my life, but I'm thankful for it; I'm thankful for all of these little things that make today special.
