You've Come a Long Way, Baby

Two years ago today, I was in a hospital room, loving up on my brand-new baby girl.


Two years ago today, our family added its final member; we became a family of six.


People always say how much babies change in their first year of life, and while that is true, I think it's the second year of life that brings the most significant changes. This was the year we were given small glimpses of the person our daughter will become. This was the year we watched our baby go from scooting on her bottom to running along with her siblings. This was the year we heard her first words. This was the year we really got to know our little girl. And maybe I am biased, but I think she is absolutely FABULOUS. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting our Alayna Rae, you are missing out BIG time. This little one is a great big ball of giggles and love and feistiness and wonder. She might be our youngest child, but Alayna is one. tough. cookie. I can only imagine what the future holds for our littlest princess.

Today my Alayna Rae turns 2. In the grand scheme of things, two years doesn't seem like much, but I promise you, these last two years have had a huge impact on my life. I can't imagine life before her, and I can't imagine life without her.
